May 5, 2013 at 8:25 AM This is for families contemplating divorce. Why Collaborative Divorce? Because it is easier on the children. Avoid negative remarks toward the other parent, avoid confrontations in front of the children. "Because kids identify with their parents, they interpret negative characterizations as also aimed at them."
Psychologists say that kids who get entangled in their parents' arguments often suffer shame and low self-esteem. And so some are trying to teach parents who feel they just can't stop arguing when they get angry how to "get to calm."

March 18, 2013 at 6:45 PM In Illinois, you do not NEED to specify a reason to get a divorce. It can be as simple as "irreconcilable difference." The more reasons you list, the longer your divorce will take to go through all the court channels.
But this one is interesting, the baby was "ugly" because the wife had plastic surgery and did not tell the husband. The baby turned out to look like the wife.

He has the dishes, he'll give it to the Wife once she pays him 50% for it based on the value she claimed it was worth (the exaggerated by her value).

Judge Judy Sheindlin is a no-nonsense woman on the bench — and apparently in real life too.
People are familiar with home-office deductions for their income tax purposes. People are also familiar that when they sell their home, those proceeds are not taxable.
However, if you have been deducting portions of your home as home-office, then you will be taxed on that portion of the home when you sell it.
March 14, 2013 at 8:51 AM New rule for Cook County Courthouses- cell phones and electronic devises are banned from being brought into a courthouse (attorneys excluded).
Problem? - They don't know how to implement it. What to do with all those people taking public transportation? Where are they going to leave their cell phones?
That's why enforcement of the rule has been postponed for three months from January, 2013 to April, 2013. We'll see what they do.
